Ella Halliday is the owner and Managing Director for Childcare HR, a specialist HR Consultancy specifically for Early Years settings in the UK. She has over 14 years’ experience in HR across multiple sectors and has held a lead Safeguarding role in local government within HR. During her career, she has worked with a large variety of clients, including leading an HR employee relations advice service of 20 staff to Schools and Preschools. Since starting her own consultancy, Ella has specialised in generalist HR support for SMEs, Early Years settings, and conducts employment investigations within the Education Sector. Ella is a Chartered Member of the CIPD, holds a CIPD Level 7 qualification in Human Resource Management and has a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management from Arden University.
Ella is a mum of three girls, and a step-mum to three boys! All of whom attended private childcare settings from the age of 6 months and from this experience, has developed an overwhelming appreciation for the key role that Early Years has in shaping the future of our children. When setting out on her consultancy journey, Ella was always clear that she wanted to support early years settings to navigate the balancing act between providing exceptional childcare, effectively resourcing the setting, managing Ofsted & legal regulations and keeping the finances out of the red.
Ella also supports Pregnant Then Screwed as an Advice Line Volunteer, offering advice and guidance to women who need support on employment matters, or where they feel they have experienced discrimination in the workplace.
Jennie joined Childcare HR in November 2024 as HR Advisor. Jennie has a wealth of experience supporting senior managers within large organisations such as Microsoft, and most recently in Events and Marketing.
